The Cirrus Design SR20 is a four-seater aircraft standard equipped with the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).
This safety system lowers the entire aircraft to the ground in extreme emergencies. The first Cirrus SR20 was delivered
in 1999. Improvements in composite manufacturing have over the times shaved off pounds from the empty weight of the Cirrus
SR20 and SR22 improving its payload. The Cirrus Design SR20 and SR22 aeroplanes for Europe and Africa are delivered out of
Duluth, Minnesota in the USA via Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands. General Enterprises b.v. at Eelde airfield is the
agent for Europe and Africa; the European Distribution Centre of Cirrus Design Corp. is situated at Groningen Airport Eelde
in the Netherlands. Over 8000 of the all-composite SR20, SR22 and turbocharged SR22T aircraft are built.
On 17 June 2005, Cirrus Design SR20-G2 s/n 1517 was registered N200EU. The 2005-built aircraft was delivered out of Duluth, Minnesota
in the USA via Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands to Barcelona in Spain. On 13 April 2016, the IFR-certified aircraft was seen at
Groningen Airport Eelde.
