The S.I.A.I.-Marchetti FN-333 Riviera is four-seat single-engine amphibian flying boat.
The three-seat prototype of the FN-333 designed and built by Nardi S.A. flew first on 4 December 1952.
The development was very slow till SIAI-Marchetti acquired an exclusive manufacturing
licence for the FN-333 in March 1959. They called the aircraft "Riviera".
SIAI-Marchetti placed a slightly enlarged four-seat variant in production which had flown in
prototype form on 8 December 1954. The first of ten pre-production Riviera's
was flown in February 1962.
On 17 September 1970, S.I.A.I.-Marchetti FN-333 Riviera SE-CWN was photographed at Groningen Airport Eelde
in the Netherlands. The SE-CWN was registered I-SIAU before. On 20 June 1973,
the amphibian aeroplane was registered LN-BEG in Norway. After the aircraft was withdrawn from use and stored
at Bardufoss in Norway, registration LN-BEG was cancelled on 30 June 1989. Since, the aircraft was stored and
for many years under restoration in "Bardufoss flyklubb"'s (Bardufoss Aero Club) hangar at Bardufoss AFB.
But after this hangar was taken down due to relocation af the Air Force Base the LN-BEG was transported to a location
outside the Bardofuse AFB in October 2014. The S.I.A.I.-Marchetti FN-333 Riviera LN-BEG is quite close to being airworthy again.
