TC-SKI Airbus A.321-231 c/n 811 - Sky Airlines (SHY) - Groningen Airport Eelde in Holland - 18 September 2008 Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ)

The Turkish charter airliner Sky Airlines (SHY) was established in 2000 as an affiliate of the KayiGroup, located in Antalya. On 12 April 2001, commercial flights started with a fleet of 2 Boeing 737-400 airliners. In 2009, Sky Airlines operates six Boeing 737-400, one Boeing 737-800, two Airbus A.320-211 and two Airbus A.321-231 airliners.

Airbus A.321-231 c/n 811 was original built as an A.321-131 and test flown as D-AVZR on 6 April 1998. On 20 April 1998, the aircraft was delivered to ANA - All Nippon Airways in Tokyo, Japan. In March 2008, the aircraft was withdrawn from use with ANA. On 20 April, after the aircraft was modified to the A.321-231 standard, the Airbus was delivered to Sky Airlines. Airbus A.321-231 TC-SKI "Smile in the Sky" entered service with Sky on 25 June 2008. When photographed at Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands, the airliner operated on a holiday flight.
