Base during Frisian Flag 2013, a multinational exercise in the Netherlands. The Dassault Mirage 2000C
"88 / 115-KV" is operated by Escadron de Chasse 2/5 Ile de France also known as EC02.005.
On 20 October 1941, the 2/5 "Ile de France" fighter squadron was original set up as an Air Marine" fighter group in England:
the 1st "Free French Squadron 340 "Ile de France" in Turnhouse, Scotland. In March 1951, the group took the name of fighter squadron 2/5
"Ile de France". The French Air Force combat squadron EC02.005 is stationed on BA115 Air Base "Captain de Seynes", Orange and is equipped
with the Mirage 2000C. In June 1992, Dassault Mirage 2000C s/n 340 was seen first in service with the French Air Force with Escadron de
Chasse 1/5 "Vendée" as "88 / 5-NL". Over the years also codes "88 / 5-NG"; "88 / 12-YG"; "88 / 2-FA";
"88 / 12-YR"; "88 / 103-KV" and call sign F-UHLC were used. In April 2013, the Dassault Mirage 2000C was seen first
in service with Escadron de Chasse 2/5 Ile de France as "88 / 115-KV" |
