The Fama Kiss 209M is a single rotor, conventionally laid out ultralight two-seat helicopter with tricycle retractable landing gear, built from composite materials around a steel frame. The Famà Kiss 209M is designed and built by Famà Helicopters in Solignano di Castelvetro (MO),Italy. The KISS 209M was developed by Nino Famà as an economical ultralight helicopter. As the helicopter's model name suggested: Famà claims that his design excels when it comes to simplicity as he applied the well known KISS (“Keep it simple, stupid”) engineering principle during the design phase. The centre section and the high-set tail boom are tube steel structures, clad in carbon fibre. The cabin shell is also carbon fibre and bolts to the central frame. The single 160 hp Solar T62 titan gas turbine engine is supported above the cabin roof and tail line, partly exposed, driving twin blade main and tail rotors. Remarkable is the retractable three-wheel undercarriage, which is unique in this class of experimental kit helicopters: the nosewheel retracts rearwards, the other inwards. After ground runs started on 15 July 2009, the prototype Kiss flew first on 13 August 2009. The first production aircraft completed company testing at the end of January 2011 and went to the Aéro-Club de France for a six-month evaluation. The Kiss 209M has an empty weight of 310 kg and a cruising speed of 185 km/h. The Kiss 209MF variant with fixed skid undercarriage has an empty weight of only 288 kg, with the maximum cruising speed reduced by 16 km/h.

On 12 August 2018, Fama Kiss 209M F-PPUB was seen at its home base: Flugplatz Marl-Loemühle (EDLM) in Germany.
