The Robinson R44 Raven I is a light four-seat utility helicopter powered by a single carburetted
Lycoming O-540-F1B5 piston engine. The Robinson R44 is built and developed
by the Robinson Helicopter Company in Torrance, California. Design of
the Model R44 began in 1985. The first prototype flew on 31 March 1990
and the second in January 1991. Sales efforts got under way in March
1992 at a base price of 235.000 US-Dollars. FAA Type Certification for
the R44 Astro was achieved on 10 December 1992, and the first Robinson
R44 Astro was delivered in February 1993. In 2000, the R44 Astro was
replaced as the main production model by the hydraulically-assisted R44
Raven. Today the four-seat Model R44 is the world's most popular helicopter with over 6300 delivered to customers all

The 2002-built Robinson R44 Astro s/n 1192 was registered PH-AJR in the Netherlands with Rotterdam Jet Center BV on 1 May 2002. The R44 PH-AJR
is powered by a Lycoming O-540-F1B5 engine. On 1 May 2003, Robinson R44 Raven I PH-AJR was transferred to Flight Services BV, Rotterdam.
On 19 November 2009, W.F.R. Eikelboom, Gorinchem, was registered as new owner of aircraft.
On 9 November 2010, registration PH-AJR was cancelled and the R44 was registered G-CGRL in the UK with A. Williamson, York,
the same day. On 16 October 2013, R44 G-CGRL was registered with Difuria Contractors Ltd., Doncaster. On 17 March 2014, the helicopter was
registered with S.A. Williams, Staverton. On 11 August 2015, Robinson R44 Raven I G-CGRL was registered with Herve Jordy, Hardelot, France. |
