PH-BOA Mitsubishi Mu-2B-60 c/n 1507 S.A. - Quick Airways bv - Groningen Airport Eelde in Holland - 12 July 1993 Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ)

The Mitsubishi Mu-2B-60 is a high-wing seven-seat twin-engine business and utility aircraft. Development of the Mitsubishi Mu-2 by the Shin Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Japan started in 1959. The first Mu-2A prototype was flown on 14 September 1963. The first Mu-2B was flown on 11 March 1965. The Mitsubishi Mu-2 was placed in full-scale production in 1965. The first production version was the MU-2A with two 562 hp Turbomeca Astazou IIK turbine-engines, followed by the MU-2B with two 575 hp Garret AiResearch TPE-331-25A turboprops. Over 800 Mitsubishi Mu-2's of all variants were built.

The 1981-built Mitsubishi Mu-2B-60 Marquise s/n 1507 S.A. (ex. N888FS, N976MA, N612CC, N413MA) was registered PH-BOA in the Netherlands with Quick Airways bv on 16 June 1993. The aircraft is powered by two Garret AiResearch TPE-331-10 turboprops. Quick Airways was based at Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands. They operated charter, training, business and ambulance flights. Quick Airways was the successor of Fast Airways Holland bv and started its operations in 1984. As Fast Airways did, they flew the regular service Groningen-Rotterdam, first with leased aircraft. Their first aircraft, Piper PA-31-350 Chieftain PH-PTC (ex: G-CLAN; N27549), was registered on 17 May 1984. Early 2007, Quick Airways ended its activities. On 4 January 2008, after the Mitsubishi Mu-2B-60 Marquise PH-BOA was sold in the USA, the registration PH-BOA was cancelled. The aircraft was registered N308TC with Turbine Aircraft Holdings LLC, Wilmington (DL), on 8 January 2008. The same day, Mitsubishi Mu-2B-60 N308TC left Groningen Airport Eelde on delivery to the USA.
