The Tecnam P92 JS Echo is a two-seater side -by-side, single strut braced high-wings
VLA (Very Light Aircraft) aircraft built by Tecnam. Costruzioni Aeronautiche TECNAM S.r.l., Capua, Italy, was founded in 1986 by
the Brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale (formerly Partenavia). Tecnam entered the MLA-market
with the P.92 Echo. The Echo first flew in 1992. The P92 is deliverable completed or as an assembly-kit.
Over the years the Technam P92 Echo evolved to the P92 Echo Super, P92-JS Echo, P92 Echo Super de Luxe, P92 Eaglet, etc..
The original P92 Echo was modernised over the years and is available as the P92 Echo Classic. Next to the MLA (Micro Light Aeroplane),
the P92 is available as a VLA (Very Light Aircraft). In 2013, the P92 went to its sixth version with the P92 Echo Light, closing the loop
to the origin of the model. Beside the the trcycle-gear (nose-wheel) versions the TD (Tail Dragger) and Sea-Sky (float) versions are
available. Engine options are the Rotax912, 912S/ULS, 912iS, 914 and Lycoming O-233. The Tecnam P92 variants are in use as well as a
Microlight touring and training aircraft. As VLA the P92 is also in use as a replacement for the aging Cessna 152 and Piper Tomahawk
training aircraft.
Tecnam P92-JS Echo c/n 031 is a VLA and was registered PH-TES in the Netherlands on 29 April 2003. The 2003-built airframe is
powered by a 100 hp light-weight Rotax 912 S four strokes, liquid cooled engine. The CofA of Tecnam P92-JS Echo
PH-TES expired on 29 April 2008 and on 11 April 2011, the registration was cancelled. On 22 November 2012, the
aircraft was sold to Angel Air Trading VoF, Arnemuiden. On 24 April 2013, the aircraft was restored in the register
as PH-TES with a new CofA and E. Koldenhof, Maassluis, as holder/owner. On 5 May 2013, the aircraft was damaged in
a landing incident during an emergency landing due to engine failure. That day, Tecnam P92-JS Echo PH-TES started
it's flight at Drachten airfield and was forced to land due to the engine failure in a meadow near Grootegast.
After the aircraft was repaired, it returned in service as PH-TES. On 7 May 2021, registration PH-TES was cancelled
as exported to Slovakia, wher it was registered OM-BRE. On 24 March 2005, Skyriders' Tecnam P92-JS Echo was seen at Hoogeveen airfield.
The ICAO Aircraft Type Designator for the Tecnam P92-JS Echo is ECHO.
