The Alpi Aviation Pioneer 300 is a high-performance single-engine, two-seat, low-wing, microlight airplane with
a retracable tricycle undercarriage with steerable nosewheel. The Pioneer 300 is the key player in the history of
Alpi Aviation Srl, San Quirino, Italy. The roots of the Pioneer 300 are in the Asso V Champion designed by the Italian designer
Guiseppe Vidor, that flew first on 10 June 1995. Like Vidor's Asso V, the Pioneer 300 has a wooden fuselage frame but it is
covered with composite panels instead with fabric. In 1999, the Pioneer 300 received its ULM certifiction in Italy. Today
there are European UL and an American LSA versions with different MTOW. In addition to the ready-to-fly versions two kit-versions
are offered. The Alpi Aviation Pioneer 300 STD is fitted with the AVTEK in flight adjustable prop, driven by a single 100hp Rotax 912S engine. |
