The Cessna 510 Citation Mustang is a twin-engined; single-pilot business jet produced by the US-American manufacturer Cessna Aircraft Company.
At the 2002 NBAA Convention, the development of the six-seat Model 510 Citation Mustang was announced as an all-new entry-level four-passenger
business jet. The Citation Mustang is a low-wing cantilever monoplane with a swept wing, T-tail and retractable tricycle gear, and the smallest
of the Cessna Citation family. The Citation Mustang is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW615F-turbofans and has a cruise speed of 630 km/h. Like
all the Cessna Citation CJs and the M2, the Mustang is certified for single-pilot operation. The avionics are modern glass panel, but are a
variation of the now-ancient but upgradable Garmin 1000 system that the company has been flying since 2005. On 23 April 2005, the Citation
Mustang protototype flew first. On 8 September 2006, the airplane received FAA certification. On 22 November 2006, the first production
aircraft was delivered. Cessna ended production of the design in May 2017, with 479 aircraft delivered worldwide. The ICAO Aircraft Type
Designator for the Cessna 510 Citation Mustang jet is C510. |
