The Pipistrel Velis Electro (Virus SW 128) is a side-by-side two-seater, single-engine, high-wing electric aircraft with a fixed tricycle
nose wheel type landing gear. The full composite construction Pipistrel Virus SW 128 is developed and built by Pipistrel d.o.o. Ajdovscina
in Slovenia and is very suitable for flying lessons because of the silent electric engine. The fixed pitch 3-bladed propellor of the Pipistrel
Virus SW 128 is powered by a single Pipistrelelectric E-811/ 268MVLC electric engine, that was developed with Emrax from Slovenia.
The Velis has a maximum take-off weight of 600 kg and has a wingspan of 10.50 meters and a length of 6.47 meters. The aircraft reaches a
maximum height of 12,000 feet. The best climb rate is given as 3.3 m/s. The cabin area is encased with energy absorbing structures made
from Kevlar fibre. When on 10 June 2020, Pipistrel received EASA approval for the Pipistrel Velis Electro (Virus SW 128) as a LSA it was

In March 2021, two 2021-built Pipistrel Velis Electro (Virus SW 128) were handed over to the E-Flight Academy at Teuge airfield. On 2 April 2021,
the aircraft were registered PH-EFL en PH-ZEF as Pipistrel Virus SW 128 aircraft. Both aircraft: PH-EFL 'E-Flight' and PH-ZEF 'Zero Emission Flying'
are operated as training aircraft. On 19 April 2021, Pipistrel Velis Electro (Virus SW 128) PH-ZEF was seen while charging at Hoogeveen airfield (EHHO).
