The Breezer Aircraft Breezer B400 is a low-wing, single-engine a microlight plane, seating two side by side. Available as kit or factory assembled.
The Breezer was developed by Aerostyle Ultraleicht Flugzeuge in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and flown first in December 1999.
The ultralight plane is largely constructed of sheet aluminium, with composites only used for non-structural fairings and the
undercarriage. One significant modification of the Breezer prototype after its first year of test flying was the incorporation
of a steerable nosewheel in place of a castoring type. The Breezer obtained German certification in the Summer of 2001. The same year,
the aircraft entered production as the Aerostyle Breezer. The first version to be marketed was the Experimental in 2002. Changes since
then include strengthening of the canopy and a reduction of span, the latter bringing a small weight saving. Until 2003, the Breezer
was built in Husum, since the aircraft is built in Bredstedt. In 2006, Breezer Aircraft gmbh, Bredstedt, was formed as the successor
of Aerostyle Ultraleicht Flugzeuge. However, the company is known Breezer Aircraft since 2005, the
aircraft is still often named Aerostyle Breezer. In 2005, the Breezer gained LSA approval, being named the Breezer Light Sport, making it
suitable for the US market. A face-lift occured in 2013. There is a luxury Version called 'Elegance'. The Breezer is EASA CS-LSA certified si
nce 2016, and in 2019 the 600kg MTOW S-LSA version received its certification. Engine options are the Rotax 912/S/iS and the 141hp Rotax 915iS engine.
The B400-6 UL Towing is a special towing version of the B400 with the Rotax 915iS engine. Over 120 airframes have been delivered by Breezer Aircraft and
its predecessor Aerostyle Ultraleicht Flugzeuge.
