Designed originally for agricultural duties under the designation SKh-1, the An-2 utility transport
flew for the first time on 31 August 1947. Of robust construction and suitable for operations from
short, semi-prepared strips, the Antonov An-2 has been manufactured for both military and civil roles.
The An-2 remained in production until 1991. Over 18.000 of the different types were built in the
Ukraine (5000), Poland (12000) and China (1000). |
The Antonov An-2T s/n 1G86-49 was built by PZL-Mielec in Poland and registered first in the DDR as DM-SKY on 29 August 1968. Antonov
An-2T DM-SKY was operated first by the Interflug/BF as a flying
laboratory. On 30 October 1981, the DM-SKY was re-registered DDR-SKY and
at that time the aircraft was operated by Interflug-FIF. On 1 September
1990, registration DDR-SKY was cancelled. On 3 October 1990, the bi-plane
was registered D-FOKY with Berliner Spezialfluges (BSF). In November 1992, Antonov An-2 D-FOKY was registered with
Dr. Marks, Hamburg. Since, Antonov An-2T D-FOKY was sold to Dr. Ester Stephan and based at Paderborn-Lippstadt.
On 27 September 2014, Antonov An-2T D-FOKY was seen at Flugplatz Stadtlohn-Vreden. |
