On 24 May 1958, Martinair was founded by Martin Schröder as Martin's
Luchtvervoer Maatschappij NV, known as Martin's Air Charter (MAC). The
company name was changed in Martinair Holland NV in 1974. Martinair
Holland is a subsidiary of KLM and Nedloydd and operated in 2005 a fleet
of 3 Airbus 320-200, 1 Boeing 737-800, 4 Boeing 747-200, 6 Boeing
767-300 and 7 McDonnell Douglas MD-11 airliners. The home base of
Martinair Holland is Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in the Netherlands. |
